Deconstruction/Reconstruction Project

The assignment for this project was to take a randomly assigned photo, go to Goodwill with $20, and create a piece of clothing that embodied the picture from deconstructing and reconstructing what we got at Goodwill.

I started off with a photo of a little dog covered with a blanket. The photo wasn't very dynamic or artistic, so I went to how the photo made me feel. It looked relaxed and soft, like something I wanted to touch and cuddle. I was drawn to sweaters and a pillow, that I assembled into something that I imagined wearing would make me feel how petting the dog in the photo would.
